Liverpool: Fans revel in Jurgen Klopp’s second Manager of the Month award this season

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has been named as Premier League Manager of the Month for September, as per premierleague.com.

As noted by liverpoolfc.com, the German has now won the award for the second month in succession, having also claimed the prize in August, with Frank Lampard, Eddie Howe and former Reds manager Brendan Rodgers also being nominated for the September award. The club’s official Twitter channel @LFC gladly shared the news afterwards.

This is the fifth time that Klopp has been named Premier League Manager of the Month and, remarkably, four of those have come in the last year, with the Liverpool boss also taking the prize for December 2018 and March 2019. [via liverpoolfc.com]

The 52-year-old has guided the Merseysiders to eight successive wins at the start of the current Premier League season, with the Reds having also won their last nine league matches of 2018/19 to make it 17 consecutive wins in the competition. [via TransferMarkt]
