Liverpool: Fans send their tributes to Momo Sissoko after he announced his retirement

Liverpool fans have been sending their tributes to former midfielder Mohamed Sissoko after he announced his retirement from football.
The 34-year-old made the decision to hang up his boots after a professional career that lasted 18 years, as per TransferMarkt. The ex-Mali international moved to Liverpool from the Spanish outfit Valencia for £5.6m in 2005, reuniting with his boss Rafael Benitez. He managed to win the FA Cup with the Reds after a penalty shootout victory in Cardiff over West Ham United.
Sissoko played for 15 clubs during his career and cried on national television after he was unaware of his popularity at Anfield. He helped guide his team to the Champions League final 2007 but lost to AC Milan 2-1 in Athens. Supporters sent their messages of good fortune following the announcement and made their feelings clear on social media.
