Some Liverpool fans criticised left-back Andy Robertson for his performance during his side’s 2-0 victory against West Ham United at the London Stadium on Wednesday.
The 25-year-old was picked out by the Kop faithful as one of the Reds’ worst performers in East London, despite Jurgen Klopp’s side extending their lead at the top of the Premier League to 19 points. Goals from Mohamed Salah and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain were enough to secure the three points. However, this was not enough for Robertson to avoid scrutiny, with one fan claiming that he has “fallen below his very high standards”.
Robertson was up against Hammers youngster Jeremy Ngakia and found himself unstuck on occasions. SofaScore recorded that out of five crosses, none of them were accurate. He was also dribbled past twice and gave away possession 13 times. Supporters were not pleased with his showing and made their feelings clear on social media.

Probably Robertson’s worst run of form since he arrived. Fatigue?

Okay Robertson obviously needs a rest. He’s fallen below his very high standards more often the last few games

#bbcfootball All these chances West Ham have had have come from Robertson making some kind of mistake. He’s been atrocious. Alright going forward but defensively? Awful so far. But who can Liverpool bring on to replace him? No-one. That’s a real issue.
