Liverpool: Fans speculate over halted summer recruitment talks

According to Dominic King, any recruitment plans in the Liverpool camp have been put on hold due to the severity of current events.
In his latest feature for the Daily Mail, King has reported that summer transfer plans – including talks surrounding Timo Werner – have been halted as there is too much uncertainty in the world of football right now.
Due to current affairs, the Premier League is currently suspended and top-tier players have been asked to take a 30% wage cut in order to protect other jobs in and around the respective clubs (via BBC Sport).
The Reds have been linked to RB Leipzig’s star striker for many months now, with even James Pearce commenting that the club should focus on him as he is ‘perfect’ for their system.
Liverpool fans are discussing the current recruitment freeze, with many pointing the finger at FSG for not wanting to spend. One supporter, on the other hand, has boldly predicted ‘we’re getting [Raheem] Sterling instead’.
we're getting sterling instead. nailed on. #LFC

Club won’t buy any good forward until one of the front three leaves. they just keep lying on fans and find excuses and if anyone talks they will tell their journalist to share a topic about how much they spend extending players contracts.

Nah dude its nothing to do with that. Clearly FSG just dragging their heels as usual

Expected, the market may drop dramatically as a result. My concern is we have signed loads up to new massive contracts
