Liverpool: Fans would not take Emre Can back as a successor to Adam Lallana - Liverpool

Plenty of Liverpool fans have said they do not want former Reds midfielder Emre Can back at the club as a potential successor to Adam Lallana after Liverpool supporter @iburniton96 on Twitter posed the question to followers.

The German midfielder spent four years at Anfield but rejected a new contract during the 2017/18 season, saying that he wanted to emulate boyhood idol Zinedine Zidane by playing for Juventus (as per Liverpool Echo), for whom he has started only two Serie A matches this season after joining on a free transfer in 2018. Italian media outlet Tuttosport reported this week (via Sport Witness) that Can was not keen on a proposed move to Manchester United, with the midfielder indicating that he did not want to sour his relationship with his former club by moving to their rivals.

Lallana, who is out of contract at Liverpool next summer, was reportedly a transfer target for Newcastle (as per The Telegraph), with Reds manager Jurgen Klopp admitting the player could leave this year if he does not sign a new deal. The 31-year-old has featured in each of Liverpool’s last six matches after previous struggling for game-time this season (as per TransferMarkt).

These Liverpool fans on Twitter made it clear that they would not be keen on having Can back at the club:
