Liverpool finally handed some good news on the injury front at last

Not in action until Monday, the Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern have time to kill as the rest of the Premier League carry on without them.

Following the loss to Crystal Palace last time out, the Reds here in the bar are nervous about their top four chances, so reports from the Liverpool Echo have at least cheered up some of the Kopites.

They claim forward Daniel Sturridge could hand Jurgen Klopp a boost by returning from a hip injury earlier than expected, after training outside on his own at Melwood.

While the 27-year-old is expected to miss the trip to Watford, Sturridge could reportedly return before the end of the campaign in order to help Klopp’s cause.

With Sadio Mane out for the season, the England international would be a huge asset to have, in order to strengthen Liverpool’s attack. Though Sturridge isn’t the most popular figure amongst our punters, who aren’t too concerned if he leaves this summer, having him back could really help their hopes for the Champions League.
