Our Liverpool fans here in the Transfer Tavern are really looking forward to seeing what their side is going to do this season in the Premier League.
The men from Anfield look in devastating form going forward at the moment and if their defence can keep things tight at the back, it could be quite the year for them.
For sure, they’ll be hoping they keep hold of Philippe Coutinho and it seems as though their chances have been given a boost – as per Spanish outlet Don Balon.
The Brazilian has been linked with a move away for some time this summer and after Neymar moved to PSG, many Reds are thinking that will pave the way for Coutinho to join the Catalans.
However, according to the report, new Barca manager Ernesto Valverde actually thinks that Paulinho would fit his system better at the club instead of Coutinho.
Certainly, then, our local Reds punters are hoping that this is the case and so it remains to be seen just exactly, if either, who the La Liga team signs.
The Reds have had a good summer and keeping Coutinho at the club would surely be the icing on the cake.
If this report is accurate, then, they should have smiles on their faces when the window shuts whilst it also seems Barca might be in for a change of system.
