Ian McGarry and Duncan Castles discussed Roberto Firmino on the Transfer Window Podcast and stated the Liverpool star is wanted by Bayern Munich.

Firmino has been a crucial part of Liverpool for many years now as, since his arrival at the club in 2015 from Hoffenheim, the Brazilian forward has netted 76 goals and 59 assists for the Reds as they conquered the Champions League last season.

However, McGarry states that there has been contact with Bayern Munich over a potential transfer. Here's exactly what he said on the Transfer Window Podcast (25/2/2020): "The Transfer Window [podcast] understands that Roberto Firmino's representatives have been contacted by Bayern Munich in the last 10 days" he adds, possibly as a replacement for Robert Lewandowski.

Considering the fact Bayern currently have goal-scoring wingers in the shape of Serge Gnabry and Kingsley Coman in their ranks, Firmino could represent the ideal foil to them, as he does at Anfield. The Telegraph wrote of how he was the Reds' most important player due to his ability to drop deep and allow Sadio Mane and Mo Salah to wreak havoc, so it's easy to see why there may be interest.

Furthermore, the German giants did show last summer that they are capable of looking attractive to Premier League stars with a deal for Manchester City's Leroy Sane strongly touted prior to his long-term injury earlier in the season.
