According to the print version of yesterday’s Tuttosport (via Calciomercato), Liverpool will face competition from Juventus if they want to sign Mahmoud Dahoud with our Reds here in the Transfer Tavern hoping they can get a deal done.
Our local Liverpool fans here by the bar are feeling a little disillusioned with how things have gone for their club in recent weeks with a loss against Bournemouth and a draw yesterday against West Ham seeing them lose ground to Chelsea.
The Blues are currently six points ahead of the Reds in the title race and so their fans here by the bar want Jurgen Klopp to start signing players in January.
It seems, though, that if they want to sign Dahoud they will have to fend off the overtures of the current Serie A champions.
The young midfielder has become a household name in the Bundesliga for Borussia Monchengladbach despite being only 20-years-old and could be set for a bright future.
Our landlord thinks Liverpool should do all they can to sign him, too, but thinks Juventus may be able to offer that little bit more right now.
Can you still sign Dahoud, Liverpool fans? Let us know below!
