With Euro 2016 in full flow, the punters in the Transfer Tavern watch in wide eyed wonderment as the continent’s top stars strut their stuff on the grandest stage.
While its so much fun to watch in a packed tavern, the Premier League supporting fans are no doubt scouting out rumoured targets to study up on who their side may or may not sign this summer.
So, imagine the delight amongst the Liverpool crowd following reports from Tribal Football journalist Emanuele Giulianelli that the Reds are ready to make a move for Napoli maestro Marek Hamsik.
The Slovakian has been in wonderful form for his country in France, scoring a wonderful goal in their crucial win over Russia and impressing with his powerful running and quick feet.
According to Giulianelli, Jurgen Klopp is keen on luring the 28-year old to Anfield this summer, with the president of the Serie A giants thought to have receieved a proposal of around €45m.
Hamsik is the last of the power trident plying his trade in Naples and also included Edison Cavani and Ezequiel Lavezzi, before their moves to Paris Saint-Germain.
Would Hamsik be enough to get Liverpool into the Top Four? A better signing that Gotze?
