Liverpool man happy to head for summer transfer exit – Report

Liverpool fans here in the Tavern still wait patiently for manager Jurgen Klopp to secure an elusive trophy, as silverware is still yet to be achieved by the German on Merseyside.

The Reds have constructed one of the most exciting squads in years gone by at Anfield, as they’re still in with a chance of securing their sixth Champions League trophy. Although, this has caused for many of their youth products to miss out on a chance in the first-team squad, as Connor Randall is one of the academy players that’s struggled to earn a place in the side under Jurgen Klopp. And, it appears that he’s seeking a move away from the club, as according to reports in the Edinburgh Evening News, Randall is open to making his Hearts stay permanent.

The defender is currently on loan at Scottish Premier League side Hearts and is open to the prospect of staying at Tynecastle beyond expiry, but this all depends on whether parent club Liverpool can agree a deal with The Jambos.

Although, there could be problems in a potential switch to the Scottish club, as Randall’s current salary at the Premier League club is considerably higher than anything Hearts can offer. But, a permanent switch is something that the defender is happy to discuss, so taking a pay cut may not be a difficult decision for the Englishman.

Indeed, Randall has enjoyed life at his loan club and has delivered some incredible performances during his 22 appearances, as he gave his own verdict on the possibility of making it a permanent move:

“It hasn’t come up yet. The conversation hasn’t happened. If it does, I’ll be open to listening to that conversation,”

“It depends what happens in the summer between the clubs and what they decide to do.”

“I haven’t heard anything yet. All I can say is I’ve really enjoyed my time here.”

Landlord’s Verdict:

Liverpool won’t be too fussed about the defender wanting to move away from the club at the end of the season, as the Reds have no room for the Englishman in their first-team ranks. And, a deal in the summer would be a good bit of business by the Merseyside club, to have sold on a player that’s been brought up through their academy ranks.
