The Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern have been absolutely fuming with the state of their defending so far this season.
Indeed, our resident Reds cannot believe just how badly Jurgen Klopp’s men continue to be when having to deal with an opposition attack, with one man in particular proving to be of extra annoyance.
Dejan Lovren has never really convinced since his big from Southampton in 2014 and the Croatian is a figure of frustration amongst our local Kopites, so the recent revelation that’d been playing through a pain barrier had barely come as much of a surprise.
He’s been that bad.
So, reports from the Liverpool Echo revealing his latest blow have only added to the frustration. Lovren is reportedly expected to miss his country’s World Cup qualifier against Finland on Friday night with an Achilles problem after playing through pain during Liverpool’s draw with Newcastle United during the weekend.
To be fair, it’s not as if many of our local Liverpudlians overly want him back for the visit of Manchester United after the break.
