Liverpool midfielder set for exit?

Here at the Football Transfer Tavern we were more than a little bit disappointed that Nuri Sahin’s loan move to Liverpool has not really worked out, and the Mail Online report that he may be on the move again soon.

The Turkish International chose a loan move to Liverpool over a host of other clubs after being told by Jose Mourinho that he would not break into the first team at parent club Real Madrid. Sahin recognises that playing time is vital in eventually establishing himself for Los Blancos and after failing to secure that at Liverpool, he wishes to close his Anfield chapter and move on.

For Liverpool’s part, the Reds also reportedly wouldn’t block his wishes to free up wages, especially given the recent capture of Daniel Sturridge. Sahin’s parent club are not too keen on this, yet there may be a way out that is beneficial to all parties.

Italian giants Inter Milan are reportedly looking to take the player in order to strengthen their squad, at least on loan with a view to a permanent deal if Real Madrid and Sahin agree to it. Former club Borussia Dortmund are also willing to take Sahin back.

Do you think Sahin should cut short his faltering loan spell? Vote in our polls below.
