Liverpool have continued their outstanding start to the season as they remain unbeaten in the Premier League.
Jurgen Klopp has done a great job with an impressive squad and if they keep up how they’re playing, the sky is the limit for Liverpool.
All across the pitch, the Reds now have quality and that is a massive improvement on last season alone. Having finished 25 points adrift of Manchester City, Liverpool have spent to ensure such a gap is not possible again this campaign and the rate in which they’re playing, it’s hard to believe that will be the case again.
To make sure that doesn’t happen, Liverpool should opt to sign another promising defender in January, someone like Real Madrid’s Jesus Vallejo, who oozes quality even at such a young age.
Vallejo, who is valued at £10.8 million on Transfermarkt, is a young defender that Jurgen Klopp has to get his hands on with the future in the back of his mind.
Liverpool have made massive improvements in defence especially this season. Alongside Virgil Van Dijk has stood Joe Gomez and they have created a great partnership together, that promises to continue that way for years to come.
With Joel Matip and Dean Lovren players who have struggled for consistency whilst at Liverpool, it may be a smart idea to invest in a player of Vallejo’s quality, despite the fact the Spaniard is yet to play this season.
The 21-year-old did become an important player for Los Blanco’s last season as in his brief seven appearances in the league, Vallejo helped towards three clean sheets in that time.
Given the opportunity, Vallejo will be a worthy investment that Liverpool will be very happy with.
