While Manchester has taken most of the headlines this summer, the Liverpool supporting punters in the Transfer Tavern have reminded everyone else that there are in fact more things going on in the North West.

The combative defensive midfielder, who can also operate at centre-half, has previous in the Premier League following his one year stint with Cardiff City prior to joining the Nerazurri.
Though the 29-year old played a pivotal role in Roberto Mancini’s side, the San Siro giants are understood to be willing to cash in on the player as they look to fund further business in the transfer market.
