A European punter in the Football Transfer Tavern has wandered in this morning and told the barman that AC Milan full-back, Mattia Di Sciglio, could well be on his way to Liverpool after the Euros.
He could be set to follow Sadio Mane who is set to become a Reds player imminently.
The Italian international’s agent, Donato Orgnoni, has told Italian website, Soccerweb24, that the 23-year-old could well be on his way out of Milan this summer.
With Liverpool reportedly interested, Orgnoni said: “After the Euros we will consider several proposals. Right now some clubs have shown interest but have not delved into anything.
“Besides Juventus, Napoli and Roma, there are other teams, but will not not name names. He right now is only thinking about the national team.”
Di Scigilo is still on international duty with Italy, but could well be looking at a move later as soon as this week depending on the result of Italy’s tie with Spain this evening.
Should Reds boss, Jurgen Klopp, manage to beat the other suitors to Di Sciglio’s signature it could well mean that Alberto Moreno, who was criticised on a few occasions over the last season, could be on his way out.
