Our Liverpool fans here in the Transfer Tavern are fairly happy with the way they have gone about their summer business.
The Reds have brought in the likes of Mo Salah and Dominic Solanke to add to their attack whilst Andrew Robertson has arrived to help out at left back.
For sure, then, there is progress to be made with these players but many Reds would like another defender to arrive before the window shuts.
Whilst we wait to see if that happens, though, it seems as though Alberto Moreno could be on his way out of the club with IB Times reporting that Watford have made an enquiry for him.
The Spanish full-back has not had the best time of things at Liverpool since joining under Brendan Rodgers but did impress in a recent friendly against Bayern Munich with an explosive display.
That led some Reds to say that perhaps he should stay, here in the bar, but the overwhelming feeling is that they should still be open to a deal and so we will have to wait and see what happens.
Moreno is pretty good going forward but at the back he is still a liability and that is not good enough for a side that wants to win the Premier League.
The only way he’ll stay at the club, then, is if Liverpool manage to coach him into being a better full-back.
