A number of Liverpool fans have been reacting joyously to Jamie Carragher's celebrations during the Reds' 2-0 victory over RB Leipzig.

Jurgen Klopp's side made it into the Champions League quarter-finals on Wednesday evening, beating the Bundesliga side 2-0 in Budapest.

It was the same scoreline that Liverpool achieved in the first leg, with Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane again finding the net for the Premier League champions.

The performance was strong throughout, showing that the Reds are still a formidable side, despite their endless woes in the league at the moment.

Liverpool have almost a three-week break coming up after Wolves and the hope is that they will return refreshed and ready for an assault in Europe, as they look to get something out of a season threatening to peter out.

And one man who seemed to enjoy watching the game hugely was Carragher, with the Reds legend on punditry duty for an American broadcaster during the game.

After the match, footage emerged of the 43-year-old gleefully celebrating the goals and singing about Liverpool going to Istanbul in the final - the location of one the club's greatest-ever nights back in 2005, in which Carragher played a huge part.
