Liverpool reject Torino’s loan offer for Marko Grujic

Liverpool’s transfer window is over but there still could be some players heading out the door this month.

Following their £163.98 million summer spend, Liverpool are in the market to sell some of their squad players in order to recover some of their financial outlay this season.

With Shaqiri, Naby Keita, Alisson and Fabinho, Liverpool have given themselves four players who have instantly made them not only title contenders but also one of the best teams in Europe.

What they need to do now is sell some of their less important squad players.

One player who could be on his way out of the club is Serbian midfielder, Marko Grujic.

According to, Torino had made a loan approach – with a £9 million permanent option – for Grujic which has been rejected by Liverpool.

The Breakdown

According to the report, Liverpool are looking for at least double the amount for Grujic who turned down a chance to move to Cardiff City.

The midfielder is in slight limbo at the club, as on the one side, he is unlikely to play much this season but is also highly rated by Jurgen Klopp according to Goal.

The talented midfielder made 13 appearances for Cardiff in the Championship last season, and needs to move on if he wants to secure regular first-team football.

With Keita, Shaqiri, Lallana, and Wijnaldum all ahead of him in the pecking order, it seems likely that he will either move on a permanent deal or a loan for the season.

So Liverpool fans, what do you think about this?
