In order to ensure safe passage through the qualifying rounds later on this summer, our resident Reds hope their charismatic German coach is backed in the market, as he looks to take his rebuild at Anfield into the next phase.
They claim there are further talks planned between the Merseyside giants and Serie A side Roma over a move for forward Mo Salah. The Egyptian has recently been touted as a potential target for the Reds after a wonderful season in the Italian capital, though the two parties are understood to be some way apart in their valuations.
I Giallorossi are thought to be holding out for around £40m, though Liverpool are believed to have offered around £28m for the ex-Chelsea forward. Still, according to this report, the Reds are weighing up making an improved £35m offer.
