Liverpool rocked as €25m target snubs Anfield for Championship side

Liverpool fans here in The Football Transfer Tavern are a slightly brighter shade of red today as news has made it’s way to the bar that one of their summer targets will be joining a Championship side.

According to reports from Portuguese website, ABOLA, Benfica midfielder Anderson Talisca, is set for a move to Wolves, having been linked with a big money move to Anfield.

The 22-year-old, who scored nine goals in 34 appearances last season, is set to make the switch to Molinueyx for a fee of around €25m.

The Brazilian youth international has won two league titles in his time with Benfica and is a versatile midfielder who can be deployed in the centre of midfield, higher up in an attacking role or on either wing.

According to reports from Sports Mole, there may have been issues surrounding a work permit to allow a move to Liverpool but ABOLA are claiming that the Wanderers have secured his permit.

Liverpool fans, we want to hear from you! What do you make of this snub? How embarrassing is it losing out to Wolves? Let us know below…
