Liverpool rocked as Premier League champions muscle in on midfield target

Ignacio Camacho

The fans in the Transfer Tavern, no matter who they support, have shown a great deal of respect to the triumphant Leicester City who have pipped many of their sides to the Premier League title.

However, being outrun by the Foxes appears to be taking its toll now and the novelty has worn off now they are officially champions of England.

Our resident Liverpool fans aren’t exactly delighted from reports in the Daily Star that the East Midland heroes could beat them to the signings of Ignacio Camacho.

The Malaga midfielder had been linked with the Reds and reportedly visited their Melwood training complex a few months ago.

A 26-year old defensive midfielder, he won the Europa League with Atletico Madrid in 2010 and has been capped at senior international level by La Roja.

Valencia are believed to have been interested, though Leicester City are understood to be working hard to get a deal over the line ahead of their Champions League campaign.

Where do Liverpool really need to strengthen this summer?
