Liverpool fans in the Football Transfer Tavern may want to take advantage of our happy hour deals this evening as they are being broken some pretty bad news by our bar staff.
Liverpool fans have been looking pretty happy with themselves in recent weeks, with the club having managed to bring in Sadio Mane, Loris Karius and Joel Matip already this window.
However, three more deals that looked on the cards this summer have reportedly fallen off the tracks, according to The Sun.
The Reds looked set to bring in Leicester’s Ben Chilwell, Udinese’s Piotr Zielinski and Mahmoud Dahoud from Germany, but now all three deals look in doubt, oops.
The powers that be at Anfield have failed to offer up enough money for all three players with both Udinese and Leicester holding out for for higher offers, having rejected bids of £11.9m and £7m respectively.
Borussia Monchengladbach yongster, Dahoud, looks set to stay put in the Bundesliga for at least one more season before considering a move elsewhere. Just when it was going so well.
Liverpool fans, we want to hear from you! Have the board let you down with these shortcomings, or is it nothing to worry about? Let us know below…
