Jurgen Klopp has excelled with his guidance of Liverpool and the Reds look to be on the rise for the coming years, with a squad of players capable of fighting for the biggest honours.
Work still needs to be done in the squad though to close the gap on the likes of Manchester City, Manchester United and Chelsea, who boast an abundance of stars, but Liverpool do not need to go all-out in the market.
With Klopp, Liverpool have the benefit of being able to fine-tune players in the perfect fit- as we’ve already seen with the likes of Adam Lallana and Roberto Firmino, who have found their best form under the guidance of the former Borussia Dortmund boss.
Now, links are surfacing to suggest that Liverpool are keen to bring Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain to Anfield from Arsenal, with the young Englishman having struggled to establish himself at the Emirates Stadium.
Arriving from Southampton as a teenager with excellent potential, Oxlade-Chamberlain has struggled to find consistency at Arsenal and has also had his fair share of injury problems.
With the likes of Alexis Sanchez, Theo Walcott, Danny Welbeck and Alex Iwobi to contend with, Ox’s future remains up in the air.
Whilst some fans would be concerned that Oxlade-Chamberlain would endure similar struggles on Merseyside, Klopp could certainly develop the wide midfielder into a top-class player; which may include playing him at centre-midfield.
Oxlade-Chamberlain turns 24 this summer and needs regular football, which may not be forthcoming at Arsenal, and he’s often stated his best position is in the middle of the park, an area he’s unlikely to find himself featuring in North London.
At Liverpool though, the situation could be different and Oxlade-Chamberlain’s versatility would definitely help the squad.
With his age, Klopp’s guidance could craft him into a crucial player for the Reds and it’s worth Liverpool lodging an offer in Arsenal’s direction.Like what the TT have on offer? Sign up for more notifications!
