Liverpool supporters in the Transfer Tavern are bitterly frustrated that Coutinho’s controversial transfer saga is still ongoing.
Despite continuous efforts from Liverpool’s hierarchy and club owners to suppress the saga, rumours linking Philippe Coutinho with a move to Barcelona continue to circulate. This has been to the detriment of Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool, who are continuously forced to address the uncertainty that surrounds the Brazilian’s future. Despite agreeing on a sizeable contract extension in January, it seems that Coutinho’s departure from Anfield is conceivable. Consequently, Klopp should be preparing options to pursue if the deal is completed. Our landlord suggests that he should dip into the wealth of talent that his former employers possess.
Pierre Emerick Aubameyang is another player facing an uncertain future, with the Gabon striker publicly admitting that he’s contemplating a departure from the German side. During his time with Dortmund, the 28-year-old has ascertained his status as one of the most lethal frontmen in football.
He flaunts a truly stunning total of 125 goals in 192 games for Borussia Dortmund, and at the age of 28, it is fathomable to argue that the Gabonese international is approaching the pinnacle of his career. His lightning speed, smart footwork and clinical finishing abilities are all key components of his game, and his arrival would strengthen Liverpool’s attack enormously.
Roberto Firmino is an exceptional talent who flaunts a tireless work ethic, yet his abilities as a striker aren’t comparable to the tremendous qualities that Aubameyang flaunt. If Liverpool is to be successful this season, they must make a marquee signing, and Aubameyang is their man!
