Liverpool fans here in the Transfer Tavern are looking ahead to the much brighter future under manager Jurgen Klopp. The Reds have looked strong this season and still have a shot at the Champions League, a competition anyone would be ecstatic to win.
Mind you, like the rest of the Premier League, the Reds have been way off runaway leaders Manchester City. Although they beat them at Anfield, the Citizens have proven to be too good and Liverpool must make improvements in the upcoming transfer window if they are to compete better to be in with a chance of Premier League success.
A player who could provide a real added quality is Monaco right-back Djibril Sidibe, valued at £20.70 million according to Transfermarkt. Like last season, Sidibe has been consistently delivering the goods for the French side and has earned the right to be in with a shot of going to the World Cup with France this summer.
Sidibe has made 29 total appearances this season and within that time, added three goals but most impressively assisted his fellow Monaco stars on eight occasions. His quality on the right flank is extremely desirable for Liverpool as he runs up and down, providing opportunities for fellow teammates in the box.
Liverpool’s deadly front three could also profit from this transfer, sticking his deliveries into the back of the net. As we have said, Liverpool have been good this season but now with the defensive improvements thanks mainly to Virgil Van Dijk and Naby Keita arriving in the summer, it really could be exciting times for Liverpool fans if they can secure a top-quality right back as well.
