Liverpool: Some fans weren’t impressed with Martin Tyler’s commentary on Saturday

Mohamed Salah scored twice for Liverpool in their 3-1 win over Arsenal on Saturday, taking him to three goals for the season in the Reds’ first three Premier League games.

The Egypt forward converted a penalty early in the second half and soon followed it up with a superb solo effort to put Liverpool 3-0 ahead before Lucas Torreira’s late consolation goal for the Gunners. [via Sky Sports]

On Twitter, Liverpool fan @ftbljosh posted a video of Salah’s second goal with the added opinion that “Martin Tyler needs to retire and go on holiday.

Tyler, who was commentating on the match for Sky Sports, didn’t discernibly raise his voice after the Liverpool forward finished off the move, even if he did use the words “superb Salah” and “sensational” in the immediate aftermath of the goal. [via Sky Sports Football on YouTube]

The commentator angered some Reds supporters in 2015 when he exclaimed “Oh yes” in response to Anthony Martial’s goal on his Manchester United debut against Liverpool, as reported by Manchester Evening News.
