Liverpool would continue massive spending spree by adding £54m-rated World Cup winner

The Liverpool fans in and around the Transfer Tavern are hoping that their club spends wisely this summer, only recruiting the very best players in order for the Reds to launch a real bid for the Premier League title.

Having already signed Naby Keita and Fabinho, Liverpool are building their team in order to challenge the likes of Man City for the Premier League title, having failed to really pressurise them last season. In order to make a proper statement and add a terrific player, our punters believe that the Reds should target Thomas Muller, who is valued at £54 million on Transfermarkt.

Muller was again influential for the German champions and has been ever since being promoted to the first team in 2009. The 28-year-old scored 15 goals and bagged 18 assists in all competitions, a stupendous record for a player who doesn’t play week in, week out. The German hero is again on show during the World Cup this summer, giving Liverpool a greater chance to scout him in detail.

Liverpool already have a brilliant front-three in the form of Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino but should their brilliance not continue next season, Thomas Muller is a player that could be brought in and played in an array of positions, including on the wing and up front as the main attacker.

Whether Thomas Muller would leave Bayern is unknown and maybe unlikely but with suitable persuading from Jurgen Klopp, he could see a future with the Reds and impress in the Premier League.
