Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern have enjoyed a fine campaign thus far but there’s a gloomy atmosphere in the corner following last night’s 1-0 defeat to Southampton.
The moods of the Liverpool contingent in the bar decreased further when they pick up a copy of the papers today, as The Times reports that European giants such as Barcelona and Juventus are keen on a move for Adam Lallana.
As he enters the final two years of his contract at Anfield, big clubs across Europe are reportedly making their interest clear and French champions Paris Saint-Germain are also keen on Lallana’s services, first making their interest known towards the end of last year.
Lallana, who turns 29 in May, has excelled under the guidance of Jurgen Klopp this season and has been a key player for both club and country, netting seven Premier League goals and securing seven assists in 18 appearances.
Whilst our landlord feels Lallana’s preference will be to remain on Merseyside, he does feel that situation could change if the Reds fail to secure Champions League football for next season.
Would Adam Lallana be a good fit at Juventus or Barcelona? Let us know in the comments below!
