Liverpool’s hopes of landing Serie A ace fading by the minute, €13m deal scuppered by Euro giants

The Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern who’ve been so impressed with the early activity in the market under Jurgen Klopp have been handed their first major blow.

That’s because, according to Italian outlet Gazzetta Dello Sportthe Reds are in danger of losing out on midfielder Piotr Zielinski as Napoli begin to show an interest in bringing him to South Italy.

The Polish international has been strongly linked with a move to Anfield for some time now, even being photoed wearing the iconic Liverpool shirt.

However, the report claims the Merseyside giants have so far been unwilling to match the valuation Udinese have placed upon him, believed to be around €13m.

As a result, I Ciucciarelli could pounce on the dynamic 22-year old, who spent last season on loan with Empoli.

Roma and Juventus are also thought to retain an interest in the player after he emerged as one of the most combative central midfielders in the league last season.

How many signings do Liverpool need to make the top four next season?
