News from Merseyside has reached the bar staff here at the Football Transfer Tavern that indicates Liverpool and Bournemouth are one big step closer to finalising a £15m switch.
It was reported last week that Liverpool and Bournemouth had agreed a £15m fee for Reds winger, Jordon Ibe, and following that the move appeared imminent.
However, following the fee be agreed the deal seemed to stall with the 20-year-old reportedly waiting to hear if there were any other offers on the table.
Though it appears today that the move could be close to completion. Mark Hughes (no, not that one), a photographer who often works for the club, has tweeted that the England U21 has cleared his locker the club’s Melwood training base.
Although his locker being cleared is not conformation of a move to the South Coast, with other clubs such as Newcastle having been linked with a move, there has been no other official bid reported, let alone accepted. Therefore, the Vitality Stadium looks like the most likely destination.
Cherries fans, we want to hear from you! Is this the conformation needed that the Ibe deal is going to go through? Let us know below…
