World Cup’s are wonderful things, they produce some of football’s greatest moments and hundreds of players have earned career changing transfers after performing for a handful of games when the world is watching in summer. This time around, Yerri Mina could be the latest to benefit from playing on the biggest stage in football, with Liverpool interested in signing the 23-year-old centre-back who’s bagged two goals in Russia so far.
The centre-back has been key to Colombia’s journey through the group so far in the tournament and partnered with Tottenham’s Davinson Sanchez at the back he’s looked like a natural leader despite being so young. Now, he could be set to taste the Premier League with Anfield being a possible destination after the tournament. The club are interested in him despite having a lot of options at centre-back already, however, if the Reds do sign him it will be a strong move and will only bolster their chances of winning silverware next season.
Here’s what our local Kopites have been saying about Mina:

The fans all seem keen on this one and with Mina continuing to impress, Liverpool should act fast before other clubs swoop in for the Colombian.
