Liverpool are in desperate need of a revival in form having failed to re-take their position at the top of the table.

Jurgen Klopp and his team were bitterly disappointed to not beat Everton but with nine games still to play in the Premier League, anything can happen.

Although Manchester City now sit one point clear, England's top flight is known for its unpredictability and how anyone can beat anyone on their day.

Liverpool must adopt that same mentality and realise they're still well in this title race, if they want to be successful again.

Whatever happens this season, there are improvements that need to be made at Liverpool Football Club, with the capture of a top-level striker being one of them.

It seems that Mauro Icardi is now set to be available - according to Corrierre della Serra via FC Inter News - and although competition would be fierce, Liverpool have to do all they can to try and sign him.

Icardi, (who is valued at £81 million on Transfermarkt) is a world-class striker that although sometimes is questioned for his off the pitch antics, always delivers when asked upon, on the pitch.

This season has been no different apart from being absent in recent weeks because Icardi has 15 goals in 28 appearances, proving that if you give him a chance, more often than not the ball will ripple the back of the net.

At the age of 26, he is prime to move to the Premier League and showcase his immense talent with Liverpool.

The thought of having Saido Mane, Mohammed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Mauro Icardi is simply mouth-watering and the Reds would have one of, if not the best forward lines in football.
