Midfielder preparing for move, imminent Klopp meeting could lead to transfer

Yesterday’s win away at West Ham United helped settle the nerves of the Liverpool supporting punters in the Transfer Tavern.

While the Reds should have been out of sight in the race for the Champions League by now, their 4-0 thumping of the Hammers all but secured entry into next year’s competition.

So, with only one game left, the Kopites in the bar can get back to what they do best – searching the net to all sorts of transfer rumours and reports.

With that in mind, reports from the Daily Record have sparked intrigue amongst our locals. They’ve revealed both Celtic and Brighton are keen on a move for stalwart defender Lucas Leiva this summer.

The Brazilian has found first-team football hard to come by under Jurgen Klopp and is understood to be heading for a meeting with the German at the end of the season to sort out his future.

Brendan Rodgers – who worked with at Anfield – is said to be aware of his current situation and would reportedly like to move for him.

Indeed, according to the report, the Brazil international is preparing for a summer exit.

Having seen the signing of Kolo Toure from Liverpool go down a storm this season, our resident Celtic fans are ready to welcome Lucas with open arms.
