More bad news for Liverpool as forward reportedly goes cold on Klopp

It’s been another frustrating weekend for the Liverpool fans propping up the bar in the Transfer Tavern, having watched their side throw away the lead to Crystal Palace yesterday.

The Reds’ top four hopes remain in the balance after yet another loss to one of the bottom sides in the Premier League, so it’s fair to say those in tonight donning the famous Liverpool jersey are in the mood to drown their sorrows.

With that in mind, they should probably keep away from reports in the Sun, then. According to them, the Kop giants could miss out of Bayer Leverkusen star Julian Brandt this summer, with the German reportedly keen on a guarantee of first-team football.

Jurgen Klopp is said to have £25m ready for the 20-year-old, though the player himself is understood to be unsure he’d even get into the team regularly, with the likes of Philippe Coutinho, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane also available at Anfield.

While the two are believed to have a good relationship, Brandt’s hesitancy could see a deal scuppered, with the forward having previously rejected moves to England for similar reasons, it seems.
