‘My main man’ – Most Liverpool fans are loving seeing familiar face back on Merseyside

The Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern have been waiting for the new season for a while now, the club ended last campaign on a sour note, losing to Real Madrid 3-1 in the Champions League final. Now though, the fans will be confident for the new season and with all of their returning loanees back at Anfield, the fans can’t wait to see Divock Origi back and firing.

The Reds propping our bar up will be looking forward to seeing the likes of Harry Wilson and Divock Origi back and firing on Merseyside. The Belgian striker, in particular, is expected to have a big impact at Anfield this season after spending the previous campaign on-loan at Wolfsburg in the Bundesliga. The German side failed to shine with Origi up top though, as he only managed to score seven goals in his 36 appearances for the club.

Next season will be a tough one for the Kopites. Origi will most likely be used as a super-sub by Jurgen Klopp with Roberto Firmino really nailing down the starting spot as the Reds number nine last season. With Fimrino playing alongside Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah in Liverpool’s attack it’s hard to see anyone usurping any of the club’s attackers this summer, be it a signing or a returning loanee.

It seems obvious that the fans in the Tavern all want to keep Origi on-board, despite the fact he’ll be getting much less game time than he probably needs.
