Liverpool fans will be delighted with the club’s business in the summer transfer window.

Jurgen Klopp has splashed the cash this summer and significantly strengthen his side. Finally, Liverpool have a world-class goalkeeper after Klopp spend £70m to sign Alisson Becker from Roma. The German also added to his midfield by signing Fabinho and Naby Keita while Xherdan Shaqiri will provide a much-needed option from the bench.

As well as their signings, the Reds have been busy securing the futures of many of their key players. Despite reported interest from Real Madrid, Mohamed Salah committed his long-term future to the club earlier this month following a sensational debut season at Anfield. Fan favourite, Roberto Firmino, also penned a new deal. Now, Sadio Mane is expected to do the same.

Valued at £63m by Transfermarkt, the Senegal international has been a crucial player for the Reds since leaving Southampton for £35m back in 2016. 13 goals in his debut season on Merseyside was a sign of things to come. Alongside Firmino and Salah, Mane took his game to the next level.

Following Philippe Coutinho’s departure to Barcelona, the 26-year-old’s role in the team evolved. Mane no longer relied on his blistering pace to be a threat and took on the creativity burden left behind by the Brazilian. His performances were crucial in Liverpool reaching the final of the Champions League – scoring an incredible ten goals in just 11 appearances during the competition.

Mane has now taken the number 10 jersey at Anfield and will be a key player yet again as Liverpool look to challenge Manchester City for the Premier League title. Securing his long-term future at the club will put a smile on every Liverpool fan.
