Reds fans here in the Tavern are overjoyed at their sides current run of form, but would like to see errors ironed out in Europe.
Liverpool have hit a form-patch in their season, as they continue on their merry ways after extending their unbeaten streak to 10 games in all competitions.
In this year’s Champions League campaign, they’ve struggled to find any real consistency after letting winning positions slip, resulting in unwanted draws. But having played all 6 of their group-games, they managed to finish top of the pile without losing a single game, which is pretty impressive for a Liverpool side that has struggled to make it out of the group-stage in their last two attempts.
For a side that’s had some of the most memorable of Champions League nights over the past 15 years, from the Istanbul miracle, to Steven Gerrard screamers in-front of the Kop, a European knockout night at Anfield is quite the spectacle.
After breaking a goal-scoring record in their 7-0 drubbing of Spartak Moscow, fans have been confident on their sides future in the competition.
However, with Jurgen Klopp looking to replicate glory from the past, the club’s Twitter account took to posting the results of the Champions League knockout stages draw, that saw Kop legend Xabi Alonso kindly draw Liverpool to face up against FC Porto.

Nevertheless, with fans trusting the sides current form to carry them through, here’s a look at exactly what supporters made of the news.
I see no reason why we shouldn’t win both legs.

Nice one Xabi! Porto shouldn’t be taken for granted. They got strong and sharp front 3 as well. But they don’t have Egyptian Messi Salah and brazilian magicians like Coutinho and Firmino

Lol. Look at people thinking Porto is easy. Porto is a tough team. No pushovers. They are like Sevilla if not less. If you think they aren’t tough, remember we are Liverpool.
