Still, reports from the Liverpool Echo have forced the resident Reds to switch their focus onto potential departures from Anfield this summer.
According to their report, the Kop titans have rejected an approach from Celtic for academy prospect Harry Wilson. The 20-year-old is highly rated amongst our punters propping up the bar, following his wonderful outings in the club’s U23 side.
Already a Welsh international, he’s notched a wonderful 28 goals at that level this season and has previously been reported to have attracted interest from both the Bhoys and Championship side Wolves.
Well, according to the Echo, Celtic did make a loan approach. Still, Liverpool are understood to have snubbed any attempts to take the young winger away from Merseyside, either on loan or a permanent deal.
Jurgen Klopp is said to see Wilson as a part of his first-team squad next season, much to the delight of our local Liverpool fans.
