Liverpool have never been blessed with such a massive opportunity to win the Premier League, something that could be achieved with a couple more signings.
Despite the Reds being brilliant all season long, any team in the league is susceptible to losing to another, something Liverpool cannot afford to do at this stage of the season.
Manchester City remain close, with just four points separating the two sides but all the difference could be made to one of those title-chasing teams, if they delve into the transfer market.
Arguably, it would be a hard task to improve Liverpool’s starting line-up so why not bolster the squad instead.
A player with a great deal of quality that could be effective for Liverpool in rotation is Benfica’s Rafa Silva.
Silva, (who is valued at £18 million on Transfermarkt) could be a great asset for the club, considering that they’re looking to offload winger Lazar Markovic as the Serbian is yet to make a first-team appearance this season.
As he’s still on the books and reportedly (as per the Daily Mail) earns a salary of around £50,000-a-week, Liverpool would be keen to replace the ineffective winger with someone like Rafa Silva who could make a genuine difference to their season.
The 25-year-old has been in inspired form for Benfica this season, doing his bit in providing eight goals and two assists for the Portuguese giants.
Not only that, his pace is very troublesome for defenders to try and battle against and he would be a good rotation for the likes of Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah.
Liverpool need to ensure their squad is best prepared for the amount of games still left to play and bringing Rafa Silva in could be a very sensible decision.
