Liverpool: Fans discuss 3-0 loss to Barcelona last year

Liverpool’s comeback against Barcelona at Anfield will go down in history as one of the Reds’ best-ever nights.
The Merseyside outfit won at home 4-0 to reach the final of the Champions League, with Divock Origi and Georginio Wijnaldum both scoring braces. They were forced to play that match without Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino, as well, but they still managed to achieve what looked almost impossible.
Of course, they only needed to win by such a scoreline after getting beat 3-0 by the Blaugrana in the Camp Nou. In that match, Lionel Messi arguably showed why he is the best player on the planet, scoring two goals including a stunning free-kick.
Did you think Liverpool would progress after that 3-0 defeat?
Yes

No

That defeat actually occurred a year ago on Friday, and Twitter user @LFC_Laurie posted a clip of that Messi strike whilst also saying how terrible they felt after that loss. That has led to many of the club’s supporters sharing their memories of that “awful night”, as one fan called it – you can see some of the best comments from the social media platform below.
