Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern will be looking ahead to their Champions League final with Real Madrid, and will be expecting their side to challenge the La Liga giants.
The Spanish outfit are heading for their third consecutive European success, yet Reds boss Jurgen Klopp will be confident that his side has enough about them to ensure that they have a chance of lifting the trophy in Kiev at the weekend.
However, according to reports in The Sun, the manager has made a surprise decision in naming his 24-man squad for the trip to Ukraine, as the media outlet are reporting that Emre Can has travelled with the squad, amid his pending move to Serie A side Juventus.
The Germany midfielder, who will miss the World Cup after being left out of the national side, has been on the sidelines since the middle of March and it was expected that he had already played his last match for the Anfield outfit.
Yet he could well turn out for the Merseyside giants in the European showpiece on Saturday.
Landlord’s Verdict: The news that Can will be involved with the squad on Saturday will not come to much surprise with the Liverpool fans in the Tavern, although a number of them will not want to see him in the starting line-up at the very least.
With the 24-year-old opting to join Juventus in the summer, many of the locals feel he does not deserve the chance to play, with many feeling that he has turned his back on them with his decision to move.
The punters in the bar will also be concerned with his fitness levels, having not played in two months and going against Real Madrid could be a risk too far for the Merseysiders.
