Much has been made about Liverpool’s goalkeeping situation over the last few months, with many of the punters propping up the bar in the Transfer Tavern weighing in.
Though Simon Mignolet has impressed in recent months, it’s fair to say Belgian still has convincing to do if our local Kopites are truly going to get behind him.
Meanwhile, summer signing Loris Karius is yet to fully adapt to life on these shores, so reports from the Daily Mail have sparked debate at the bar this evening. They claim Anfield boss Jurgen Klopp has been impressed by Danny Ward’s stint on loan at Huddersfield this season.
The 23-tear-old is reportedly expected to be thrown into the first-team mix next season after helping the Terriers into the Play-Off final, which follows last season’s impressive stint at Aberdeen.
Liverpool are believed to have high hopes for the Welsh international and the fans in the bar are desperate to see Jurgen Klopp find a long-term option for the goalkeeping role.
