Our Liverpool fans here in the Transfer Tavern can’t wait for their side to get going this season as they are eager to see their side challenge for the Premier League title.
Indeed, that is ultimately what the Reds’ fans here by the bar want to see from their club this campaign and they’ll be hoping for a few more signings to come in and help them with that cause.
Certainly, a new centre-back needs to be high on the agenda at the club over the next few weeks but whilst we wait to see who exactly comes in, it appears as though they’ll have to act quickly if they want Emre Mor.
Indeed, after The Sun reported the Reds’ apparent interest in the player last month, it seems as though plenty of other clubs have joined the fray with Hannover 96 looking like one of the favourites to sign him – as per Bild.
Indeed, they are reporting that the German side has offered to take Mor on loan and Dortmund could be more favourable to such a deal with them being able to keep ownership of the young talent a little longer.
If Liverpool want him, then, they’d surely better move fast.
Emre Mor certainly has talent but it’s not the kind of talent Liverpool need right now.
The Reds have got a very strong attack – one they added to when Mo Salah and Dominic Solanke arrived – so there isn’t really room for anyone else unless they are exceptional.
Indeed, Mor isn’t quite at that standard right now and so the Reds might be best off letting Hannover 96 taking him on loan and prioritising other areas of the pitch in this window.
