City and Liverpool fans here in the Tavern put on a joke night in the pub after rather humoured of the departure of one of their star men.
Manchester City have enjoyed the form of a lifetime, as 11 games into the season they already look like running away with the League. As the stars of Manchester begin to gel together, can Pep’s City Express be stopped?
Well if you thought not you may want to look away now…
In the past couple of days, reports have emerged linking City’s player of the year from last season, David Silva with a potential move to Anfield. The Spanish magician’s contract is up in the summer of 2019, but the Reds aim to jump the gun as they attempt to draw him to Merseyside early.
Transfer rumours can always be a funny subject, whether to believe it, whether to truly believe it you just don’t know. So what better way than to get the fans take on proceedings, as the Landlord here in the pub put the question out to all you fanatics. As to whether you truly believe that David Silva will defy expectations to drop down some places to Liverpool?
There were responses galore as 74% of fans opted that the City player wouldn’t dip down into the realms of Liverpool Football Club. Which obviously tells the story that the majority of fans here in the Tavern view it as absolute nonsense. Having been pivotal in their dominant start to the Premier League season with 7 assists and, coming out with their POTY award last season, you can’t help but agree with the results.
Offering one of the slickest passing abilities in world football, the Spanish wizard is able to create chances out of nothing as he looks to make life easy for the strikers. With one of the most agile and skilful skillsets in the Premier League, there is no doubt as to how vital he is to this City team’s title aspirations.
Having been so pivotal to the rise of Pep and his team, this man needs to be here come the end of January to stand any chance of lifting up that trophy.
