The weird and wonderful world of football has taken another surprise turn, one for all the punters in the Transfer Tavern to enjoy in fits of laughter.
With the Premier League being such a worldwide brand these days, it’s easy to forget the players are celebrities in pretty much every corner of the globe.
Especially when they play for the big boys.
That being said, one fan who has recently emerged for Liverpool star Sadio Mane has come right out of left field.
Despite looking incredibly expensive when he joined the Reds from Southampton, the 24-year-old has fit in well to Jurgen Klopp’s exciting Anfield side.
It seems his strong start to life on Merseyside hasn’t only been noticed within the bounds of the Premier League.
When asked, the Dublin-born wrestler revealed he’d have to pick the former Saints ace as his partner.
”Obviously, Coutinho’s the main man at the moment and also Firmino but what a difference Sadio Mane has made to that team”, said the former World Heavyweight Champion.
”I’m a big Sadio Mane fan, he’s added so much excitement to that team so I’d have to pick him.”
Wrestling stars have previously collided with footballers in the past, notably when England skipper Wayne Rooney slapped Wade Barrett.
