Shock Premier League rivals line up move for £32.5m Liverpool flop

Christian Benteke

Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern have had a ridiculous amount of things to shout about this season, a list that’s only been added to following reports emanating out of Belgium that Christian Benteke is being targeted by another Premier League club.

It’s been a tough season for the towering striker following a £32.5m move from Aston Villa in the summer, looking somewhat lost in the side when Jurgen Klopp replaced Brendan Rodgers as manager.

Having failed to wholly convince, the 25-year old has been linked wth moves to Atletico Madrid, Juventus and West Ham United recently.

However, DH claim that West Bromwich Albion could make a move for him in an effort to bring him back to the Midlands just a year after moving to Merseyside.

Baggies boss Ton Pulis is renowned for his preference of big, strong forwards who excel with their head, attributes Benteke boasts well.

Current star striker at the Hawthorns, Saido Berahino, is perhaps a departure from that direct style, though has repeatedly been linked with moves away from the club.

Is Pulis the perfect manager for Benteke?
