It’s been a great summer for Liverpool as Klopp has brought in some great additions to his title-contending squad.

With Fabinho, Naby Keita and Alisson, Klopp now has a squad capable of challenging City for the title.

However, the club have been chasing Lyon midfielder Nabil Fekir for much of the summer. According to talkSPORT, via Canal +, Lyon chairman Jean-Michel Aulas has now set a deadline on the transfer of the French midfielder, and according to him, the creative midfielder might just be staying at the club.

The Breakdown

Much has been said about Fekir’s future at the club and it now seems that time is running out for the Frenchman to get a move away.

Fekir was close to a move to Lyon earlier this summer only for the transfer to fall through due to medical issues.

A talented midfielder, Fekir’s potential has always been obvious and has the rare talent of a midfielder who can not only score but also create assists, scoring 18 goals while creating a further seven in the league last season

The attacker would be a great addition to the Reds who have failed to replace Coutinho since he left the club. As many know, however, Aulas is a tough negotiator and will try and get every penny from a transfer.

The Lyon owner has been up to all his old tricks insisting that the player will likely be at the club next season.

“He’s 90 per cent [certain] going to be at Lyon next season. If he hasn’t left by the end of July, he’ll stay."

It's going to take some hard negotiation skills but Liverpool need to bring him if they finally want to win the Premier League title.
