Surprise move for Premier League forward discussed in Liverpool boardroom

Though Liverpool’s attacking trident has had the punters propping up the bar in the Transfer Tavern waxing poetic this season, the squad remains a little fragile.

The absences of Sadio Mane and Philippe Coutinho at times this season severely impacted the Reds’ style of play, so the Kopites in the bar are hoping for some reinforcement to arrive this summer.

So, a story from Bleacher Report has been met with some applause. They claim boardroom discussions have taken place on Merseyside in regards to a potential move for Stoke City forward Ramadan Sobhi.

The Egyptian only moved to the Potters last summer and, while he’s still getting to grips with life in the Premier League, is a huge talent.

Though he may not instantly appear to be the most exciting signing in the world, the 20-year-old is destined for big things and is reportedly of interest to top brass at Anfield.

With that in mind, the Liverpool fans here in the bar are starting to get on board with the idea of seeing him arrive.
