Talented playmaker keen on Liverpool move after botched January transfer – Report

Liverpool fans here in the Tavern are excited for the return of Premier League football, as they hope to secure an all-important place in the top-four.

Indeed, the Reds have been phenomenal in the Champions League so far this season, with memories of the Istanbul triumph back in 2005 still fresh in the minds of our local residents. Of course, if Jurgen Klopp is to find that elusive first trophy at Anfield, then some reinforcements in the summer are going to be vital if this season doesn’t reap the rewards. And, recent developments have provided the Merseyside club with a boost on the transfer front, as according to Spanish media outlet El Chiringuito TV, Real Madrid’s Dani Ceballos has told the club’s hierarchy that he wants a move to Liverpool in the summer.

It was suggested that Ceballos was disappointed at being denied the opportunity to depart from the Spanish capital in the January transfer window, with the 21-year-old now telling Madrid officials that he wants to join the Reds in the summer.

Indeed, the midfielder would more than likely rock up at Anfield as a rotation player, after failing to make it into the first-team for large parts in Madrid. Although, he does have bags of potential that can be unlocked with a flow of regular football, something that could be handed to the Spaniard with Emre Can leaning towards an Anfield departure in the summer.

Nevertheless, a promising young player that could thrive under the guidance of manager Jurgen Klopp, having developed the likes of Joe Gomez and Trent Alexander-Arnold into rising stars this season.

Landlord’s Verdict:

The Spaniard is an impressive midfielder that holds the potential to become something big with regular game time. And, having seen Klopp’s willingness to rotate the midfield so far this season, plenty of opportunities will be handed to the Real Madrid man. But, it’s still promising signs for Liverpool on the road to finding a Philippe Coutinho replacement, with one of the world’s most promising prospects open to a move to Anfield.
